Yet not as I will but as Your will

Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don't have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless; it is like chasin the wind. [Ecclesiastes 6:9]
"Dream Chaser" is the theme of the camp that I attended recently... I can't help but starting to think about my future... Looking at my notes that I have and this bible verse... However, this verse reminded me something... A lesson that God assigned to me long ago yet I still fail to master it.. APPRECIATION...
Am I starting to appreciate things and people around me? Or am I complaining? The previous post about story of the nail and the son really "speaks" to me! I realise I am still not living my life to the fullness and appreciating what have God blessed me in my life. I took things for granted from time to time.. I complain, complain and complain and I know that sometimes my tongue even hurt people that I love so much so much...
As it is written in the bible that though the tongue is the smallest part in our body yet the consequences that tonngue can do is very huge... So guard your tongue. I even print out a "thanks giving" list and paste it in my room, reminding me from time to time to give thanks instead of cursing and complaining... I should always remind myself that I do not deserve to have so much blessing in my life.. To all my friends out there, if I ever said or do something that hurt you, please accept my sincere apologies... I raelly pray that God will heal the cut that I caused.
= Not my will but Your will be done =
Everyone have their own dreams, what is your's? Dreams are from God. We have the image of God and therefore we will be wrestling with our own desires and God's will. If things are not going according to your will, what will you do then? Sit down there and cry in addition cursing and blaming God for not opening a way for you? Or will you press on and look forward? Always have in mind that God planning for each and everyone of us is different and His plan is NEVER to harm us but to prosper us. Then now think again why are you blaming God? Aren't you suppose to say "Not my will but Your will be done"?
Try this out... I telling based on my own personal experience... When things doesn't go your ways nor according to your will, press on and continue to hang on to God. Look at the outcome then... I just want to share a song with you all..
Thy way, O Lord, not mine
Thy will be done, not mine
Since Thou for me didst bleed
And now doth intercede
Each day I simply plead
Thy will be done.
A personal prayer....
Consecrate me now to Thy service Lord by the power of grace divine
Let me soul look up with a steadfast hope and my will be lost in Thine
Draw me nearer, nearer blessed Lord.
When things are not going according to your will, you are closer to God .
and all the thing are somehow not a big trouble after all.
